Botanical Printing Class a Big Hit

Our botanical printing class has been extremely popular over the last few weeks.

The art of botanical printing consists of using natural objects such as plant leaves to print onto a surface either on paper or fabric. This technique dates back many centuries.

The course was initially set up for two introductory sessions, tutored by Sheena Macleod and Maria Foulis. The class was so popular that we added a third introduction session. So far 18 people have taken part with another 6 on the waiting list for next year. We have just completed the first of two intermediate classes where participants start printing on cotton (see photographs).

Anyone interested in attending one of these sessions for next year, please contact us on 01593 721283 or email us at llccdc@outlook.com
